5 Reasons Why Your Landing Page is Not Converting

Must Read

Digital advancement has made marketing the pillar behind an organization’s success and if your landing page is unable to generate the expected conversion rate, then that’s a major reason for concern. Therefore, you need to build a well-crafted landing page that is not only target-oriented but has an appealing format with great copy and no distractions. The landing page should be able to oblige the viewers to proceed further and share their contact and interest details. Here are five generic rules that will guide you through creating that perfect landing page:

Create impeccable content

The landing page content should be free of any kind of distraction and with the only motive of generating leads. Adding links and referrals to the content other than your primary objective can distract your potential customers and navigate them to other pages. Moreover, to increase your conversion rate, you need to draft impactful content with eye-catching templates including related videos, images, colors, font styles, and layout.

Inserting an image that successfully illustrates the purpose, offer, and benefits of your service work much better than a lengthy set of words. A persuasive headline and body that is SEO friendly, but not loaded with keywords, is convincing, promising, and creates clear, concise, personalized and content can be very compelling.

Keep your CTA game strong

CTA is the magic button that directly takes your potential customers to the landing page to convert them into successful buyers. Make your CTA button bold so that it gets noticed easily and place it before and after the body of your message. Also, don’t forget to use white space around the text inside the CTA box to make it look clean and attractive. You need to develop short and impactful content for the CTA, with a note of urgency to push the user to take action right away, but make sure the content fits in a button and uses contrasting colors. This will make your CTA action-oriented and compelling, driving higher conversion rate.

Rationalize your form

If you are using a form on the landing page to gather information about your potential customer, you will need to generate an interesting form that is not too long or too short. While too many questions can scare the readers away, fewer questions might not serve the purpose of the form.

Make sure that your form asks questions that are absolutely necessary and the process of filling out the form must be user-friendly. Also, don’t forget to optimize your form for mobile users and try using a dropdown box to fill as many fields as possible. Last but not least, always keep your forms above the fold to make sure that the customers can find it.

Monitor the metrics

Metrics such as the number of page visits, traffic source, submission rate, and heat mapping help you understand from where your landing page is gaining most of your customers and which part of your landing page is engaging them. To analyze the rate of conversion through your landing page, run it through different adaptive tests such as the A/B test so that you can decide which area to focus on and what to neglect, based on the result.

However, the most crucial thing to monitor on your landing page is its loading time. Conduct a blink test on your page, which means that the page must load within the blink of an eye. If it takes more than five seconds, it will create a higher bounce rate, so try decreasing your landing page load time.

Provide an offer too hard to say no to

You can strategize offers dedicated to solving a specific pain point for your target audience, or just a giveaway to make your potential customers feel important. But remember that the offer you are willing to provide to your audience in return for needed information must be related to your business. Also, it should be substantial enough to persuade strangers to provide you with their personal information, and unique enough to keep you ahead of the trend. Also, to build and maintain trust, remember to guide them seamlessly through the offer and make sure that they land on the right page to avail it.

With these five essential points in check, your landing page can turn a great number of potential customers into actual clientele and offer your business a great success.
